Sleeping Children Around the World (SCAW)

  • Sleeping kits are distributed to underprivileged school going children, aged between 6 and 11 years, to give them the comfort of good sleep which is essential for good health and education.

  • The highlight is that most of the items in the bed kit is sourced from cottage industries in rural areas like Bhavani, Chennimalai, Tirupur and their surroundings.

  • The project spans a duration of six months from the time of purchasing the items, receiving, and packing, handling and storing and to finally distribute.

  •  The actual period of distribution is about three weeks when the Canadian volunteers are amidst us.

  • This project is of zero cost in nature. In other words, every dollar received as a donation (Canadian $35 per kit) goes to the child.
